Training center saddlery in the Sauerland
The Wildshausen manor with the Cosack saddlery is located near Arnsberg in the Sauerland on wooded slopes and directly on the Ruhr. Here, bespoke saddles are made by hand in the old tradition and the next generation is trained very successfully.
In order to preserve this old knowledge, which is worth protecting, a training center for the saddlery trade is currently being built, in which both specialist seminars and, of course, saddle trials for customers can take place regardless of the weather.
The building ensemble, consisting of a stable with 4 boxes for guest horses, a functional area, a small exercise hall and an exhibition room, which also serves as a lounge, fits into the site in such a way that the original closed courtyard structure is restored.
