Committed to horse welfare.
Planning for a boarding stable is the type of equestrian facility that is probably most frequently requested by our customers. This is where the variety of stable types is greatest. Box stables with or without paddocks, open stables, loose stables, active stables or a combination of open and box stables. Every type of stable is possible here, and every horse owner has their own preferences.
There are almost no limits to planning.
But regardless of whether it is a boarding stable or a private facility, horse keeping should meet today’s requirements for horse welfare. This is why restructuring and conversion work is sometimes necessary.

Most horses are kept in boarding stables. These are often boarding farms for boarding horses. The horse owners rent a box and services from the provider.
In recent years, horse owners have become more demanding when it comes to housing their animals, as have the legal requirements of veterinary law regarding animal welfare.
Today, horse owners attach great importance to a well-equipped facility, e.g. with an all-weather paddock, lighted outdoor arena, solarium, treadmill, as well as grazing and pasture service and an adjacent riding area.

The operator of a boarding stable is a service provider. The better the keeping conditions, the more varied the types of keeping and the range of facilities, the better the utilization of the business.
When planning a boarding stable, it is not only the accommodation of the horses that is important. There must also be recreation areas for the riders, e.g. in the form of a rider’s lounge, for a cozy get-together and sufficient sanitary facilities.
The approval of building projects in outdoor areas is difficult because building here is generally prohibited! This applies to Germany. In other countries, it is often easier. Abroad we leave the approval to local architects who are familiar with building law.
Germany is very complecated. Buildings project in outdoor areas are generally not welcomed. Local architects mus clarity what is possible wher in accordance with local building law.

Optimization of horse keeping
The dream of a horse at home.
Today’s modern horse stables are a far cry from substandard. Horse owners have high expectations for the accommodation of their four-legged friends, regardless of whether they are competition or leisure riders.
The exercise of the horses no longer takes place only on horseback, but is also actively induced by horse walkers, active stabling or free running and jumping in the exercise hall. Solariums, (water) treadmills, brine chambers and spa equipment are no longer only to be found in special rehabilitation facilities, but are finding their way into more and more modern stables.
Grazing should be a matter of course and is good for the horse. Pasture shelters offer protection from the sun and insects. We should not forget: satisfied horse owners increase the level of awareness and prevent empty stalls.
The supply of hay, straw, concentrated feed, bedding and the disposal of horse manure also plays a role that should not be underestimated, not only for new facilities but also for renovation and conversion measures. Nowadays, the logistics of these arrivals and departures with large equipment are also of interest to the authorities and must be proven more and more frequently. This also applies primarily to access routes for fire and rescue services.
Depending on the location of the yard, more and more authorities are even demanding information about the access and exit routes of potential horse installers, because they fear that this will hinder the flow of traffic, or they may even demand a new turning lane, of course at the expense of the developers, who actually “just want to realize their dream”.
At least, that is the case in Germany.
